The Montgomery County auditor says the issue is a lack of quality control for gasoline. The recent incidents involved diesel mixed in with unleaded gasoline at the pump.

Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith said the issue has been coming up for the last 20 years and is a point of interest for auditors across the state.

Ohio is one of only four states without a fuel quality testing program. Keith said they have been advocating for it since 2000.
