Experts say the main cause of water in your gas tank comes from filling up at the pump. It can cause some noticeable changes to your car.

"If water is in your gas tank, you're going to notice lack of power, possible engine not starting, backfiring," said Shane Pennel, 360 Auto Service owner.
The scary part, Pennel says there is no way of knowing if a gas station is pumping water into your tank. Once the water gets in there, some pretty serious damage can happen.
