Last week, the dealers accused the suppliers of not taking responsibility for selling contaminated fuel to them after Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) tests proved there was a problem with the product at the supply end.

Widespread complaints from motorists across the island about damage to their vehicles, which they believe was caused by substandard petrol from certain service stations, led Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell to order the tests.
