Jet A1 adulteration triggers safety scare among airlines

Also, just recently, European Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, raised the alarm over the quality of aviation fuel emanating from Nigeria. EASA in its report to NCAA, it alleged that one of the international carriers that fly into the country bought the contaminated fuel in Lagos Airport to fill its Airbus A330 aircraft with a Rolls Royce manufactured engine.

It wrote that the aircraft afterwards developed a problem in one of its engines that affected its operation, which was later traced to the aviation fuel bought in Nigeria.
