Filling up your tank as the ice melts could cause some serious car troubles and leave you with a big bill.
Billy Hughes, owner of Hughes Auto in Tyler, held up a water bottle half full of a yellow liquid. It was watered down fuel that had just been drained from a car's gas tank Thursday morning. He said fuel is usually a darker orange color.
“We don't see as much water in fuel as we did, say, 10 years ago, but when you do see it, you see it pretty bad, you know, you'll see it quite often,” Hughes said.
