Meijer looking into 'contaminated fuel' complaints from customers

LEXINGTON, Ky. - (WKYT) - A central Kentucky man is facing some expensive car repairs and he blames the fuel he bought at a Meijer gas station. He claims that gas was contaminated and it damaged his car.

Now Meijer is looking into claims from multiple customers.

Pay for the gas, pump the gas, drive away-- it's something we've all done a million times before and something Jason Wade didn't think twice about last Saturday.

“I stopped at Meijer and topped our vehicle off with gas. I had no issue. I drove it home, parked it,” said Jason Wade. “Everything was running fine on the car.”

That is, until two days later.
