Drivers say water in gas caused vehicles to breakdown

All the rain we've been having lately has led to major trouble for one local gas station and some drivers. Water got in their fuel tanks and that caused a reported 22 vehicles to breakdown

Riverchase Automotive Manager Donny Kelley says repair work should be done quickly to avoid any long term damage to a vehicle. The fuel tank needs to be completely drained and the filters replaced.

A fuel additive can help take out any residual moisture. "If it stays in there it can rust the tank and the fuel pump," explains Kelley. Repair costs can run $400 and more.
