Imbert to investigate contaminated fuel report

AActing Energy and Energy Affairs Minister Colm Imbert will launch an investigation into how fuel became contaminated with water at seven of the National Petroleum company’s service stations last week.

On February 8th NP noted that its newer gas stations had technology that shuts off tanks once water is detected. It added that the owners of the older stations are mandated to do daily tests before the fuel is put into their storage tanks. NP also urged any member of the public who wished to lodge a complaint to do so firstly at their respective gas station then contact NP at 800 NPMC.
