Fuel Fiasco Causing Problems for Drivers

HOMETOWN, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) -- A gasoline mix-up caused chaos for drivers in part of our area. Many motorists were affected by the problem that caused their cars to break-down throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.

It became a huge headache for many drivers, after fueling up before work Friday morning. A 5-am delivery of gasoline turned out to be diesel fuel-- causing many cars to break down."We are just inundated with repairs," said Ed Demyanovich, an auto technician at Hope's Collision and Towing. That auto-technician had a busy day after a fuel fiasco. From five to 8:15 Friday morning, drivers who fueled up at Turkey Hill in Hometown didn't get what they paid for. Instead of gasoline, they were filling their cars with diesel fuel."They were shutting off, they were smoking," said Ronnie Ziegler, owner of Ziegler's Auto Repair and Towing.
