Vehicles Being Repaired After Water Contaminated Fuel Was Sold

ROCK SPRINGS — According to Jay Schneiders, President of Red Horse Oil Company, a small number of vehicles are being repaired after unleaded gasoline contaminated with water was sold at The Mr. Al’s Sinclair location on Dewar Drive.

The fuel was delivered late yesterday, and the contamination was caught fairly fast. Schneiders said that the approximately ten customers who were impacted by the contaminated fuel have been contacted, and their vehicles are being serviced at local dealerships at no expense to the owners.

The customers were reached via backtracking the station’s transaction log. Schneiders said that he believes every customer has been contacted.

“The cars are currently getting back on the road for the holiday weekend,” Schneiders said.

None of the other stations owned by the company were impacted by the contamination and the fuel at the Mr. Al’s location is back to normal.
