A weights and measures official tested tanks containing premium fuel. The test found 3 inches of water in an underground tank.
The inspector immediately issued a stop-sale order. The industry standard for tanks holding unleaded gasoline is not more than one-quarter inch of water.
The tanks were closed to sales until officials returned on Aug. 17 for a retest. That retest found no water in the tank and the order was lifted.
