Nassau County Official: Gas Station Shut Down After Selling Contaminated Fuel

Some drivers on Long Island had to have costly repairs performed on their cars after receiving contaminated gas from a Westbury filling station, a Nassau County official said.

Nassau County Consumer Affairs Commissioner Madeline Farley told WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall the tanks at the BP gas station on Carmen Avenue had 5 inches of water in them, and at least five vehicles broke down as a result.
