Diesel fuel dumped into gas station's supreme tank causes car troubles for East Texans

WHITEHOUSE, TX (KLTV) - You fill up your car, and then your car starts sputtering. That's what happened to a handful of customers after getting gas at an East Texas gas station over the weekend. The supreme unleaded tank had accidentally been filled with diesel fuel.

When customers of the Speedy Pantry in Whitehouse began complaining of car trouble Sunday morning, owner Steve Osman knew something was up with what had gone down.

“The truck driver had a full load of gas, and he dumped the diesel, 2,000 gallons, into the supreme, instead of the diesel tank,” Osman said.

The truck driver admitted he made a mistake when filling the tanks overnight.
