Mel Duvall, a media spokesperson for Husky, said some off-spec diesel product was shipped from the Prince George refinery on Sunday.

"It was a relatively small amount of product and limited to one day's worth of shipments," Duvall said as he confirmed no issues have been reported. "But as a precautionary measure we halted diesel sales at stations that may have received shipments in the province and it is all being removed."

When asked what off-spec means exactly, Duvall said diesel products have to meet a certain specification and in this case some gasoline was inadvertently added to a storage tank at the refinery.
